"egg"stravaganza

a few sundays ago as jeff and i were getting ready for church in the bathroom i couldn't hear jillian anymore. i stepped out of the bathroom to this sweet picture. i've had the baby bouncer/vibrator out as i get ready for the new baby. jill had found an old pacifier and got her blanket and crawled onto the bouncer. now she enjoys just laying in it, especially if i turn on the vibration! her legs dangle off from the knees down and the bouncer is almost touching the ground but she doesn't seem to mind. i'm not sure if she's ready to give up the "baby" title of the house yet. 2 1/2 more months and it's ready or not... yesterday our community had an "egg"stravaganza. jill had fun picking up all the eggs, coloring, making bracelets and dancing to the music.
she learned where the eggs go.
but her favorite part was the petting zoo. she LOVES animals. the tally continues...things jill is not scared of: water, the street, heights, animals (including big dogs that bark and look scary).

Oh my goodness I would be so scared if Jessalyn WASN'T scared of as much as Jill is. Keep a watch on her!

I think part of the reason Jill is not scared of these things is because she has no reason to be scared. You and Jeff have not over-reacted to situations and she has not experienced anything to make her feel scared. Of course, she needs to learn to stay out of the street and learn to swim etc. However, I see so many children who go "crazy" when they experience anything new and it makes me wonder what kind of coping skills they have. When daddy and I had our first baby he said, "I don't want you to scream when you see a bug"....I thought that was weird, but what he was saying is don't do anything that will make our child feel like they should be scared of something. They look to you to teach them how to feel about something. Your a good mom. Jill's dad is okay too!

Atleast you have a list of things she's not scared of, with Madison I just have a big list of things she is scared of. The main one is my HAIR!! Yea, that's right, my hair. Not when its on my head but the hair that falls out. It's crazy who is scared of hair?

How fun! It looks like you had a blast. That is awesome that Jill isn't scared of animals. Noah is just like her, he was even bit on the face by a dog and had to have stitches, but he still LOVES animals. Lincoln on the other hand doesn't like animals so much. He tries so hard to be brave, but when it comes down to it he really can't bring himself to touch them. It is crazy how different kids in the same family can be.
