your life has been spared...

congratulations new momma.
your life is no longer in jeopardy.
jill and i found two today.

we couldn't be more excited.

on a side note:
we had a splendid 4th.
pool party with friends and
half of a firework show.
good times.

30 June 2009

i have a fungus...

growing in my garden,

and an alien head blooming from my artichoke plant.

speaking of heads...
this little thing isn't so little.

here are her one year stats:
head circumference: 18.5 inches (93%)
weight: 22 lbs (67%)
length: 31 inches (96%)
(i wonder if it's all that healthy food
i've been feeding her that's helping her grow so well.)

on another note...
it's hot as Hades here.
if we're not on the slip-and-slide,
or swimming,

then we're finding ways of having fun on the inside.

(yes, camille can push jill around and they both love it!)

third and final note:
still waiting for production...

(didn't jeff do a fabulous job on the coop?)

07 June 2009

low key

jeff turned 29 on friday.
we celebrated by cleaning carpets and toilets.
watching your babies vomit is the worst present ever.
everyone in the house has had it save me and daddy taylor.
happy birthday jeff.
(next year will be better, i promise)
(after-all you will be officially o3l0d next year)

feeling the itch...

after 5 years of marriage jeff and i were feeling the itch...
to get out of arizona.
we decided to take a long weekend vacation to the coast.
we visited the Queen Mary and the Port of Los Angeles.

we laughed our faces off at the Laugh Factory in Long Island.

we biked around Catalina Island,
and even trusted our lives to a mask and oxygen tank
(kinda scary but really cool).
most important of all;
i think i won the "1,2,3, open!
(and look directly at the sun)" picture contest.
(dang, that was a painful)

who do you think won?

one little monkey

ingredients for a monkey party:
one little monkey turning one,

yummy drinks,

great company,

banana-split bar,

bubble machine (big hit of the night),

birthday balloon launch,

timid #2

and a not so timid #1.

that's how you party with a little monkey.

21 May 2009

5 years

and look what we have to show for it...

no more...

expensive formula, back-facing seats, baby food, shots every three months, poopie diapers.

i guess i'll still have the poop, but this sweet face:

is ONE today.

i'm excited to see your face in my rear-view mirror,

and give you regular milk and food,

i can't wait to see how this sweet body will grow and learn in the coming year.
Happy Birthday Camille.

...

just a quick up-date:
i've continued working full-time and i don't have a home computer, thus the lack of posts. both of these problems will be amended with in a month from now so as dad always said "hold your horses" on pictures.
a lot has been happening around here. it hit 100 degrees today, boo hoo. camille thinks she's not a baby anymore and i'm finding her on top of the table lickadee split. jill rides her bike like she's in a nascar race with just as many crashes. jeff is in Denver right now at a work conference that includes a golf tournament (imagine that). our chicks are big and hopefully will produce something soon. i'm sick of dealing their patio pooping without any eggs to ease my paings (sp). thier patio poop will be done soon enough either way, we're cooping them. i've enjoyed my time in the er but it's taken a toll on my family and home so i'll be cutting my hours at the end of the month. i continue to shirk my cooking responsibilities to anyone i can including panda express. i LOVE my backyard right now. that's all.

month in review

a month ago i started working here:

i received a blessing by a catholic priest who annointed my hands during orientation. then i began my work full-time
as a "healing-hand" in the er.

since my time back at work i've seen some more pretty sweet stuff but man i'm missing this sweet thing:

she's not too happy when i leave for work.

my days off now are filled with catch-up clean-up.
this number hates when she gets the sports bra stuck around her neck during laundry day.

but it's still fun to play in clean clothes.

the garden is flourishing and we've even enjoyed a couple strawberries.

the warm weather has been so nice.

camille is loves to climb...little monkey.

she hates baby food.
she loves daddy's food.

jeff built the coolest coop for our newest addition...

four little chicks.

22 February 2009

two sisters one heart

first annual two sisters one heart run
was held on v-day.
they raised $25,000.

they share a seven chamber heart and are
undergoing testing for a possible separation surgery.
jeff ran the 10k and i ran the 5k

pre-race we were all smiles.
i ran the 5k in 31:47
jeff's time was wack.
we think he did a 10k in about 45 mins.
me slow he fast.
oh-well, it's not like i did collegiate track or anything.

camille (who just turned 9 months yesterday, more on that later)
was there to cheer us on and send her love to the twins.

it was a perfect way to spend v-day.
welcome to a new tradition.
in other news:
jill had a play date with her cuz' so
sarah could rest after having a sweet baby boy.
jill and chole weren't too sure at first...

they eventually warmed-up to each other...a little.

since the date jill has repeated,
"emma, sadee, sawah, cloudee"
over and over.
